Gas line breach may have triggered house explosion

They have determined an "trenchless trench" was used to install a gas line to the property, some time back. This method uses high pressure water to dig a tunnel for the new line. Apparently, it ended penetrating the sanitary sewer line.

Then, when the home plumbing backed up, they called a plumber. The plumber ran a sewer snake through the line from the house, using an access in the basement. The backed-up sewage and water started bubbling, the began to hiss as natural gas filled the house.

The plumber grabbed the family and made a run for it.  No picutes of house yet!
